School continues

Today was the third day of school. But at first my host family and I went to a rotary meeting in the morning. They did their assemby and discussed the upcoming stuff. After that we exchanged flags and I had to introduce myself a little. Then I came late to school because of that meeting but it was fine due to my reason for absence. Then school was pretty much the same like every day but I switched my physical science course for culinary. After school we went shopping for school supplies and since we were at the supermarket i took my chance and bought some candy. Then like usual I went to the gym. Before I went to bed I bought some clothes online.

Second day of school

So today was my second day of school. Nothing to special did happen. But I had my first geometry class and it was kind of messy. Since everyone at school has an IPad for school books except some (including me) they tried to get them to working and it was an awful lot of work. I might be switching my physical science class because it was not what I expected and the teacher wasn’t my type of teacher. After school i went to the gym and did a biceps and back workout. At the last exercise I just wasn’t able to lift the weight anymore which was kind of frustrating. So I’ll have to work on that! Back home I was alone because my host parents were out and when they came back they had a brand new car.

First day of school

So  today was my first day of school and it was messy and awkward. They introduced a new schedule I didn‘t know at all and so did the teachers. So there was chaos at Lecanto High. That‘s probably why I ended up in a wrong class and didn‘t even notice it ‘till the end of the lesson. Still it was pretty fun and all the teachers seem to be nice but the books are just like 500 page giants. The oddest class was math where the teacher will give us the chance for 3 easy A‘s. One for returning a letter in time, one for writing a test about the syllabus (general stuff about the class) with the syllabus in our hands during the test and one for doing a pretty page with our name, some pictures and comments on it.

Last day before school

So today was a lazy day. After a long night’s sleep, we had fried eggs and pancakes for breakfast. Not long after that we went grocerie shopping and my host family was so nice to me about anything I wanted it made me a little uncomfortable. Then after we went home we remembered the member card we have to pick up so we did that. Then I had the whole day off, which i used for bonding with my host family and exercising. I was running and even though it wasn’t too long (about 3 miles) it was hot as hell and I was sweating like I ran a marathon. For dinner we had some sloppy joes and chips. But now I’m going to sleep early because tomorrow is going to be my first day of school.

Beach Party

Today was a pretty packed day. At 11 a.m. we went to the beach but it was 2 h away. We met all the other district 6950 inbounds, some re- and outbounds and a lot of rotarians. The beach was fine even though we couldn‘t go there ‘till 6 p.m. because it was raining the whole time. Still it was a lot of fun meeting all those people and the beach was very pretty and the water was quite warm. But the best part was the food, there was lots of it and everything was just delicious from pulled pork to cupcakes. Now we‘re heading back to Citrus Hills probably arriving at 11 p.m.

The first day

After a short sleep i woke up at 8:30 in the morning to get ready for signing into school. After a little breakfast me and my hostfather went to school to get me registered. Now I’m a registered panther and my classes are english, physics, history, algebra, geometry, weightlifting  and PE. Now we’re going to dinner. We went to a pizza place and the pizza was truly amazing. We now have pizza leftovers I’m looking forward to eat ;D

Arrival

After a 10 h flight to Atlanta and 6 h waiting time there i finally arrived in my host family‘s home at 0:30. I‘m pretty exhausted but I have to get up tomorrow to get myself signed in for school. My host family is very nice and the whole Rotary club welcomed me friendly.
