Today was a super lazy day. We basically laid on the couch for the whole day. We had breakfast and at some point we decided we have to do something. So the whole family went to the gym. Afterwards we had burgers for dinner, played some games. Then we watched a movie as everyone slowly disappeared to go to sleep.
Salvation Army
Today was a good day. I had a long sleep and my cold got better. We met up with the other exchange students at a pizzeria and we made our own pizzas. Mine was a little deformed but that’s ok. Afterwards my whole host family met at that place and they ate lunch. Then I had a little free time before I went to a Walmart and did a fundraiser for Salvation Army. I stood in front of it ringing a bell and wishing people a merry christmas. I did that for 2 hours and by that time I got really cold. Also, I used the opportunity to buy my christmas presents for the family. As I got home I made two batches of fudge. One chocolate fudge and one peanutbutter fudge.
Bootcamp
Today was quite a good day. I got up at the same time as every day. But Andy took me to a bootcamp, where we had a great workout. The only problem was since I had a little sore throat, after about 10 minutes my mouth was as dry as sand. It was an amazing workout though. Then Andy brought me to school and I was a little late but that’s ok. In school I took my tests in Weightlifting and Volleyball, which took me about 30 minutes total. The other 2 hours of the day I just sat around trying to sleep or play games. After school I had time to relax. I talked to my parents and that was really good for me. Then we went to workout with the whole family except for Connie. I had a really good leg workout, even though I didn’t really improve but I think my cold is taking its toll. We had beef tenderloin for dinner and watched a documentary about Crossfit. I’m sleeping on the couch today, as both rooms are occupied by their children and their spouse.
Exams Day 2
Today was the second day of exams. We tested in Geometry, Algebra and English. I got a 110 in Geometry, 105 in History and 100 in Algebra. I don’t know my culinary grade yet but I got a 72 in English. That test was super hard, the best grade was a 81. Other than that I enjoyed the day and Roger picked me up for a Rotary Christmas Dinner. That was a lot of fun and one of the guys at my table got really drunk. It was just a lot of fun, I had a great time. Tomorrow Andy will take me to a bootcamp in the morning. That’s gonna be interesting!
Exams Day 1
Today was the first day of exam testing. I had an exam in History and in Culinary. The latter was easy because she basically gave us most answers right before the test. History was a little more difficult but I think i handled it. I forgot my jacket at school today, also I talked to my Math teacher and she said she’s going to be disappointed if I get anything other than a 100 on my exam. Today, Anna took me to the gym right after school and I had a great workout. But I think for scheduling and overall feeling it’s better for me to ride the bike to the gym.
200 days
Today was a relatively quiet day. I started out culinary by doing a graded assignment on hand washing. Other than that school was boring and we’re all preparing for the exams. After school I waited for Andy so we can go to the gym. I received a package for Christmas and I really want to know what’s in there but I have to wait. Also, I wrapped my presents myself, which was fun. The workout was great today, but my lower back hurt after deadlifts and I felt kind of sick but now my back feels great, even better than before. We went for sushi after dinner and that was great. From today on I have 200 days left if I’m leaving early July.
Homeless guy
Today was an ordinary school day. In first period she made a demo on 3 ingredient cookies. So I had to watch her make cookies for 40 minutes and didn’t even get to try them. We didn’t do anything in gym today, because we are studying for exams. After school I rode the bike to the Y. On my way there was a homeless guy on a bike before me. He was definitely drunk and at one point he ran into the grass and just laid down. I felt bad because I didn’t know if he fell and passed out or just wanted to lay down, so I didn’t do anything. My workout was great today and afterwards we went grocery shopping.
Christmas Parade
Today was the Christmas Parade in Citrus Springs. Roger picked me up at 8:30. We started building the float, which was a Santa sleigh with a bunch of presents and a christmas tree. Then we had a little spare time so we went to the Carlsons‘ and Hazel made me something to eat. Afterwards the Parade started at about 2, but we were the last float. The parade was good, but long (about 2 miles). The kids were really happy to see Santa. After the Parade, we had to take down the sleigh again and I got home at about 5. Now, Tessa (one of their kids) and some of her friends are visiting us.
Connies Birthday
Today was Connies birthday. We didn’t really do anything today, so it started out a relaxed day. Then Andy and I went to go get my bike from the bikeshop, but before we got some burgers that were really good. As we got back we had a little time to relax again before we went to a Rotary Club Christmas Party. It was a fun and I had a good meal. Afterwards we went to TJ MAxx because Connie had to get some stuff. By the time we got home I gave Connie a present( a teddybear and some gingerbread from germany). Also, a package from my family arrived for Christmas. I got kind of homesick today and the last couple days, but I guess it will be better soon.
Breakfast in Tampa
Today started early at 5:30 in the morning. We ate breakfast at the hotel and I had a huge breakfast, really huge. Afterwards Connie and I went straight to Lecanto. I was a couple minutes late to school but that’s ok. School was ok today. I was very sleepy in History, we had a test in Algebra and she already reviewed mine and told me I have a 100. I talked to a friend during lunch and we talked about the Convention in Anime Club. English class was very boring as always. Today it was raining heavily. Apparently, americans can’t build busses that do not leak, so every now and then I got some water on me. At about 5:30 Connie took me to the gym, while Andy and her had a work dinner to attend to. Today was legday and I had a very good workout. By about 8 Andy fetched me and we went home. The rest of the day I just relaxed.
